About Us

The Couple

We met in Virgin Gorda, one of the most naturally beautiful islands of BVI.  This was my first trip here.  Kevin was assisting with an outreach soccer camp for the children of Virgin Gorda and Tortolla.

We ran into each other a month or two later at a restaurant called “Four Dogs”.  We chatted and realized that he lived about 3 miles from where I worked at the time.  We exchanged phone numbers and planned to meet up for dinner once in a while.

Over the next year, we would meet for dinner and share a few laughs.  The following summer, I was asked to return to Virgin Gorda… “to fix a light lunch for the staff, etc.”  Of course, I gladly agreed!

While in Virgin Gorda, Kevin confessed his love for me.  Well, at least that’s the story according to me.  I was completely surprised!  I never dreamt that he had any interest in me.

He told me that he was going to St. Maartens the following week for soccer and would I like to go!  After asking the parents (I was currently unemployed), the ticket was purchased.  We had a wonderful trip and enjoyed visiting another beautiful island.  And that was the beginning of our romance.

Our biggest passion is our love for animals!  We share Diesel, the white boxer in our picture and we are totally smitten with him.  Diesel has a huge love for humans and a quirky personality!  Kevin has also been a huge supporter of my Cat Rescue.  Our vet knows Kevin very wellJ  He has saved two cats from eminent death… Grey and Senor Martini now live in luxury in the cottage.

Our Engagement

Kevin proposed to me on Valentine’s Day.  It was shortly after my oldest dog Charley passed away.  Kevin told me that he was impressed with how much I loved Charley and my dedication to him in his final days.

Our Wedding

We went to visit the Liriodendron this past spring and fell in love with this Palladian style mansion.  It was actually a summer home, built in 1898 by a prominent Johns Hopkins physician, Dr. Howard Kelly.  You will see many pictures of him and his family in the Library.  In the spring, the wisteria covers the walkways and is so beautiful.  We hope that you will love the history and the romantic feel of the Liriodendron as much as we do!

We thank you for your love and support and for sharing this very Special day with us!

Next stop… Happily Ever After
